Silverbridge Notes

B Team

Our B Team bowed out of the South Armagh league on Saturday last as the wind and rain swept Killeavey Park. Silverbridge played with the advantage of the wind in the first half. They failed to take vital scores from fairly reasonable positions and left themselves with only a two point lead at half time. They had an uphill battle in the second half. It still took the Rangers a while to settle down in the second period but when they did they really made us suffer with two fine goals and a number of points. Aidan Crummy did manage to grab a goal in the dying minutes. Silverbridge were best served by Conal Quinn the Hughes and Traynor brothers. Final score Crossmaglen 2-10 Silverbridge 1-8.

U10 Boys

The U10 boys played in the Paddy Connell Cup which was played at Keeley park today and managed to come out victorious winners after beating Crossmaglen, Cullyhanna and Killeavey , to get to the final where they over came Dromintee by the narrowest margin. Well done to all concerned. Training continues Sunday morning at 11.00 please bring boots and trainers.
