Club notes for Ballyboughal GFC
Hard Luck to Ladies Ballyboughal/St. Finians team who lost by 1 point to Naomh Barrog in Junior (B) Championship last Wednesday evening . Mixed results in Adult mens teams both home Championship matches on Sunday last, 1st team won by 2 points in (B) Intermediate Championship over Cuala, 2nd team lost to Parnells by 6 points in Junior D.
Juvenile results;- Congrats to St. Peters U15 Girls team who won their 8th league match out of 8, on Saturday last away to St. Finians of Newcastle- winning the league with this game. Thanks to mentors Marcella, Emma and Frank for their commitment to the team. Well done U-8's mixed team who had a great match and won over Tyrrellstown , also U-11 St. Peters boys were victorious over Beann Eadair at the week end. Hard Luck to Ballyboughal Girls School team who lost their final match played in Parnell Park during the week.
Fixtures for next week; Ladies play two Championship matches both at 7.30pm on Monday 19th in Ballyboughal v's Scoil Ui Chonaill and Wednesday 21st away to O'Tooles. On Thursday 22nd at 7pm U-13 girls play away to Garristown and U-14 St. Peters boys play at home (in Naul) v's Raheny (B) . Saturday 24th U-11 girls play at home v's St.James Gaels. 1st team play Loving Cup at home v's St. Brigids at 6pm, Sunday 25th 2nd team also play at home in Murphy Cup v's st. Maurs. Congratulations to 11yr old Niamh Fay who plays on our U-13 girls team on winning her fight at week end making her All Ireland Boxing Champion in 42kg category.Ballyboughal GFC Table Quiz on this Sat 24th of May in The Oldtown House from 9pm.
