Club notes for week commencing 14th January 2013

November 7, 2018

Scor
The Scor Leinster final on Saturday proved a day of mixed emotions with our Figure dancers narrowly missing out on a title dancers (Niamh Rowan, Cara Hogan, Shannon Murray, Serena Wynne, Loraine Kelly, Rebecca Kelly, Amy Dagg, Aine Swaine, Aoife Carley.) did the club proud with an excellent performance but unfortunately had to give second best to Maynooth. The club thanks Geraldine Dagg and George Coyle  for their achievement in bringing this set of dancers to a Leinster Final and in winning  two county titles in the last three years.
The Set Dancers went one better and added another Leinster Title to their list with a winning performance from Laura Wynne, Niamh Rowan, Ursula Carley, Leanne Duncan. Conor Murray, Stephen Colgan, Dillon Carroll, Jack Kennedy who now look forward to an All-Ireland appearance in Derry on February 23rd . Thanks to Alice and Brenda Deihy for preparing the group and regaining the title.
We shouldn’t under estimate the amount of work it takes to give sixteen children the opportunity to compete in a Leinster title.

Congratulations to Blathnaid Daly from Ballycomoyle on winning the Recitation competition and commiserations to Ballynacarrigy who lost out in two very competitive events and to St Josephs and Ballinagore.
