We currently have over 300 subscribers but would like to enhance it further to ensure all our supporters are aware of our activities and are notified when venues are changed or games cancelled etc

Under12
The under 12’s had their trip to Ferbane and Athlone on Saturday last. In the morning they played a double fixture vs Ferbane Belmont playing 2 tough games. Overall the spoils were shared with the under 11’s recording a brilliant 2 point victory and the under 12’s losing out to an impressive home side. Thanks to Eddie Nally and the lads in Ferbane for their hospitality. In the afternoon, the lads headed to Leisure World Athlone for bowling and quasar. Underage Training
 Underage training from under 6 to under 12  Friday evenings  from 6.30 to 7.30 .New players welcome .  You can register at any training evening 
Club Shop
The club shop is located upstairs in the clubhouse and will be open during Friday evening training for the season. Just arrived are youth kit bags priced at 20 euros. Also in stock are ‘Squareball’ tee-shirts in a unique club design and ideal for the beach this summer. Adult sizes at 20 euros are in stock and kids sizes at 15 euros can be ordered.
 A reminder that crested football gloves are available at cost price. New delivery of azzurri windcheaters and polo shirts have just arrived.
 
Pilgrim Walk
Thanks to the club members who made themselves available to act as stewards on the Pilgrim Walk from Kinnegad to Clonard on Sunday.
 
 
The Downs Ladies Football
Underage training for  under 6 to under 12 on Friday evenings 6.30 to 7.30 on If you haven’t registered, you can register in The Shop with Liz or any training night, remember you have to register to play.
Under 14s train on Mondays at 7. Under 16s, 18s and juniors train on Tuesday and Friday at 7.30. New members are welcome to come along for any age

Under 14s
The under 14 played Kinnegad away on Thursday last, in a closely contested first half The Downs held a narrow lead at halftime. The second half flowed with end to end football, The Downs needed to defend with great skill and resolve to keep the Kinnegad scoring to a minimum, the midfield and forwards made good use of their possession to increase the lead and take the two points in the most difficult game this year.
 
Fundraising
The Ladies Football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de- clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags are available from any team coach or committee member or in The Shop.
