Drama Night
The Club are presenting the play “For Club and County “ The Hilarious new play by Seamus O’Rourke on Saturday 30th March @ 8pm. Tickets €10 from any committee member or in Wilfs in Castle St.
This is a new venture for the club so come along and enjoy  nationally acclaimed drama in your community.
 
Scor
Sunday sees our Scor competitors take centre place in the club with our figure dancers (Aoife Rowan, Mary Lynam, Sharon Hynes, Sarah Moran, Jean Moran, Sarah McGuire, Sinead Carley, Lisa Loran) and set dancers( Aoife Rowan, Mary Lynam, Sinead Lynam, Grainne Kelly, George Coyle, Shane Murray, Kevin Flynn Pat Leavy) competing in the Leinster Final in Ballymore. This is a unique occasion for the club having the two dance groups in the final we wish them the best of luck and look forward to them bringing home the titles. The Final starts at 3 O’Clock come along and support your club.
 
Underage Training
Underage training  continues on Saturday evenings 5 to 6, it changes to the usual Friday evenings 6.30 to 7.30 on April 5th

Boys under 14s
Well done to the lads who recorded a hard earned but deserved div 1a league victory over St Loman’s on the astroturf in Lakepoint Park on Saturday afternoon, final score 4-8,3-8. 
Last Saturday’s division 2 game v Inny Shamrocks scheduled for Streete was postponed as the pitch was unplayable. 
Training continues over Easter – details will be issued by text. Contact Marc at 087 8362297 if you not receiving our text notifications. New players always welcome. 
The group stages of Feile are expected to take place on Sat 6th or Sat 13th April. We have been drawn with Millmore Gaels, Multyfarnham and hosts Caulry.

We currently have over 300 subscribers but would like to extend it further to ensure all our supporters are kept up to date. We want to avoid unnecessary duplication where several copies of the one message are going to the same household.

Membership now due for 2013 Juvenile Player €25, Adult Player €40, Student Player €25, Ordinary Adult member €30, OAP €15, Family €50 You can also do your membership online through the website.
Free Draw of a years subscription to the club Lotto  for all members who pay their membership before 24th March.
 
Mouth Guards
A Reminder  it is now compulsory to wear a mouth guard for all underage training and matches
 
Bingo
Bingo continues every Friday at 8.30, come along and brings a friend for an enjoyable night’s entertainment.
 
Defibrillator
Reminder that a Defibrillator is located at the clubhouse on at the external wall of the entrance porch.

Zumba

The Downs Ladies Football
The Intermediate team played a challenge against Clan Gael from Meath thanks to all the players who came along and endured the  arctic conditions.
 
Underage Coaching

Easter Raffle
Raffle cards are out now for our Easter Raffle, support the draw and be in with a chance of winning a Full Size Chocolate Football.
 
Clothes Collections
The Ladies Football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de- clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags of clothes can be left with any team coach or committee member or in The Shop. Please ask family, neighbours, friend and co-workers to fill a bag.
 
Keep Fit Class
A new keep fit class ‘The Power ½ hr’ is starting  and  will run on Mon, Wed and Sat . These fat burning workouts will have you toned up in weeks by using whole body exercises which are scientifically proven to burn more calories. Designed for your convenience, these workouts will only take 30mins, so why not drop the kids to school and start the day, the best possible way. Classes start @ 9:05 a.m in The Downs clubhouse. Water and mat  are desirable but not essential.
