We are continuing with our free text message service via TEAMER 51687 which we use to notify members regarding various club activities. If you wish to avail of this service, please text your name and number to Marc at 087 8362297. These messages are free to receive and a reply is not required. We currently have over 300 subscribers but would like to enhance it further to ensure all our supporters are aware of our activities and are notified when venues are changed or games cancelled etc
 
Weekly newsletter email
You can register to receive our free weekly newsletter email at our lotto website www.locallotto.ie – just search for The Downs. The newsletter is sent every Monday night and includes that night’s lotto results and club notes.
 
500 Club Development Draw
On St Stephens night we held the December and final  draw for 2011, we would like to thank everyone who supported the draw in 2011 and look forward to your continued support in 2012.
Winners: €4000 – Colaiste Muire, €2000 – Joe Duncan, €500 – Stephen Cleary, €250 x2 – Declan Gorman, Ursula & Andrew Dowd, €123 x4 – Kieran Carroll Sr, Cathy Garvey, Derek Butler & Pat Bugler, Ian Kerr & Carol Wade.
 
St Stephens Day Charity Game
On St Stephens Day young and not so young played  in our now annual  fun game to raise charitable funds, the recipient this year was  young Fionn Aherne from Griffinstown who’s  family is fundraising  for Stem cell treatment for Fionn.  €700 was raised on the day a brilliant achievement by everyone concerned and particularly the committee who organised the event.

Bingo
Bingo  continues every Friday at 8.30, come along and bring a friend for an enjoyable nights entertainment. Jackpot is now in excess of €11,000

With Christmas over and a  new year approaching now might be the time de-clutter and make space for the Christmas presents and the sale bargains.
The Ladies Football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de- clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags of clothes can be left with any team coach or committe member or in The Shop.
