Results
Senior notes Div 4 league. Our second team recorded a hard earned victory away to St Pauls last Tuesday evening. This was a tough competitive game with both teams playing good football. We played very well in the first half and our forwards finished very well. We led by 0.9 to 0.4 at the break. In the second half Pauls came right back into the game and reduced our advantage to 2 points. Brian Fitzpatrick scored a goal then to push us ahead however we were under pressure from there until the end. We finished winning 1.11 to 0.11 and felt luck to come away with the points. Well done to all who made the effort to get there midweek. Team J Corroon, M Leavy, N Murray, C Carty, C Carley, D Lynam, B Flynn, N Molloy, V Connelly, K Smullen, S Deering, S Raleigh, D Egerton, B Fitzpatrick, S Carroll, Subs used J Cahill, K Gavin
Div 6 league. We hosted Rosemount on Wednesday evening and won thanks to a good second half surge from the lads. Early in the first half we played fast attacking football and got our noses well in front. However poor option taking caused us to lose our way and allowed Rosemount back into the game. We led 0.9 to 0.4 at the break. Straight into the second half we were under pressure and Rosemount got the first 3 points. We then stepped it up and kicked great scores including a great goal by Kevin Bell. Dean Egerton and Niall Murray added goals too and we kicked some excellent points. We finished 3.19 to 0.9 winners. The tempo at which we played in the second half was encouraging  and the younger lads who are new to adult football played very well.Team K Mc Guire, M Leavy, P Cochrane, C Carty, B Flynn, N Murray, S Raleigh, V Connelly, B Fitzpatrick, D Egerton, S Deering J Cahill, D Daly, J Corroon, S Carroll. Subs used K Bell, L Donohue, PJ Maguire
