Night at the Dogs
On Saturday night we held our annual night at the dogs and it proved an enjoyable night. We would like to thank everyone who bought tickets, provided raffle prizes and sponsored races. AGM
Nominations and motions for the  2012 AGM  should be submitted to the Club Secretary on or before 23rd of November. AGM on Saturday 8th December
 
Community Games
There will be an open evening and registration for all community games activities for boys and girls between the ages of 6-16 on Saturday 10th November next between 5-6 p.m. in the Downs GAA Clubhouse.   Please come along register and be part of this community event. 
 
Mouth Guards
Following a motion at Congress earlier this year  (See Rule 6.2, Rules of Foul Play, The Playing Rules of Football, Official Guide, Part II, 2012)  it was passed that from January 1st 2013 it will be mandatory for players in all age grades, up to and including minor level, to use a mouthguard in all football matches and training sessions. The rule will be extended to U21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014.
It is a matter for each club to ensure the rule is adhered to at training or practice sessions.
Clubs and players should note that players may not be covered under the player injury scheme if they are not wearing a mouthguard. See website for further details.
 
Bingo
Bingo continues every Friday at 8.30, come along and brings a friend for an enjoyable night’s entertainment.
 
Defibrillator
Reminder that a Defibrillator is located at the clubhouse at the external wall of the entrance porch.

Clothes
The Ladies Football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de- clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags of clothes can be left with any team coach or committee member or in The Shop. Please ask family, neighbours, friend and co-workers to fill a bag.
