Div 1 league. Our first team playedGarrycastle in the league last Thursday at home. We lost this game but showed alot of improvement. We were short 4 or 5 regulars however we played some excellentfootball. The fitness and stamina levels were the main difference in the end.Garrycastle were stronger n this department giving the work they did to get tothe All-Ireland final recently.  We led1.04 to 0.03 and were very much on top after 20 mins but the concession of 2soft goals due to errors in defence gave the advantage back to the visitors. Our attacking play was great and the ball going into the full forward line wasof high quality.  We were keepingpossession, mixing the short and long ball and supporting each other very well.Luke Folan finished off an excellent move to the net in style.  In the second half we again were in good formand the game was in the balance until the last few mins. The final score was2.14 to 1.12. The effort was encouraging and once we keep working hard attraining we should be competitive from here. Team. C  Mc Cormick, B Flynn, S Cleary, V Connelly, CCarley, J Smyth, L Farrell, D Lynam, N Molloy, K Smullen, L Folan, B Conroy, TMc Cormick, B Fitzpatrick, S Carroll. Subs C Thompson, M Leavy, K Bell, K Maguire.
Div 4 league. We had a good win overLoughnavalley away last week. We were a good bit stronger on the day. Thanks toall who made the effort to get to the game during the week. Short many throughexam pressure some of the guys who have not being around for a while respondedvery well. This was very encouraging and a good performance got the desiredresult.
Div 6. We travelled to play Kinnegad forthis league game. We were second best for all of the first half however we werevery good in the second half and were on top for most of it. Again we wereshort due to college but we fielded a team most of who are training with a fewcoming out of retirement. We finished well on a score of 1.11 to 3.13.

Under12’s
The under 12 boys defeated an understrengthInny Shamrocks team in the second round of the league played in Molloy Park onSaturday morning last.
2 11-a-side games were played and well doneto all including this week’s captains Jack Carroll and Shane Murtagh.
The lads are out again in the leaguetonight Wednesday 9th vs St Loman’s at 7pm in Lakepoint Park.Meet in Lakepoint Park at 630pm.

FeileFinal
Unfortunately our under 14 team had to givesecond best to an excellent Shandonagh team. The Downsnetted a penalty in the first half and went in at halftime 4 points down. Animproved performance at the start of the second half saw The Downs close thegap to a point but Shandonagh upped their game and made better use of theirpossession and converted more scoring chances.
