We are continuing with our free text message service via TEAMER 51687 which we use to notify members regarding various club activities. If you wish to avail of this service, please text your name and number to Marc at 087 8362297. These messages are free to receive and a reply is not required. We currently have over 300 subscribers but would like to enhance it further to ensure all our supporters are aware of our activities and are notified when venues are changed or games cancelled etc

Bingo  continues every Friday at 8.30, come along and bring a friend for an enjoyable nights entertainment.

Club Shop
With underage training on a Friday evening now finished, The club shop will be opened as required.  Orders now being taken for Christmas, small quantities of all items in stock – gloves, gloves, wind cheaters, kit bags. contact Carmel at 087 9496347.
 
Scor
The Scor committee would like to thank everyone who supported their Night at the Dogs fundraised Buster Night on  Saturday last. Congratulations to Pat Leavy and Paddy Monaghan who shared the first prize.
 
Junior Scor started last Friday evening in Coole, The Downs Ladies were representing the club, well done to all the children who took to the stage and thanks to all the parents who came along and supported.
On Saturday night we are hosting a Junior Scor first round all support welcome and help on the night appreciated.

Under 21 Championship
We exited the under 21 championship to our neighbours Coralstown/Kinnegad in The Downs on Saturday by the slimmest of margins after extra time. Well done to both teams for the  excellent standard of football.
 
AGM
Nominations and motions for the  2011 AGM  should be submitted to the Club Secretary on or before11th of November. AGM on Saturday 3rd December

Fundraising
The Ladies Football are collecting bags of clothes as a fundraiser, so you can now de- clutter and help the club raise funds. Bags are available from any team coach or committee member or in The Shop.
 
Under 18 Final           The Downs  4:8          Rochfordbridge 5:7
On Sunday we suffered a agonising one point  defeat in the minor final in Shandonagh. The Downs started brightly and led 0:5 to 0:2  at the end of the first quarter. Rochfordbridge replied and narrowed The Downs lead to 2:5 to 2:4 at half time. On the resumption Rochfordbridge opened the scoring and a one stage were ahead by six points. The Downs stages a comeback but unfortunately time ran out as we attacked for the equaliser.
