St Stephens Day Activities raise funds for National School

Over 2000 Euro was raised last Thursday when the 1994 County Final Selection took on the 2008 Selection. It was end to end stuff with the 2008 team dominating first half proceedings but failing to take their chances. The ’94 team were more clinical in front of goal scoring two goals in the first half to leave a point between the teams at the break. The second half was something similar and a late Brendan McCabe goal proved to be decisive as the game finished in a Draw (apparently). Refreshments in the form of ‘Hot Whiskey’ and ‘Hot Brandy’ was served afterwards (and to some players during the course of the game to keep the body ticking over) but overall it was a great days success and thanks to all the contributed.

Monster Draw now re-scheduled for Feb 28th

The Club Monster Draw originally scheduled for Dec 30th has now been deferred until Feb 28th. Tickets are in demand and the change in date will ensure that all people in the surrounding parishes and counties can get a chance to participate in the Draw. Draw details are listed below.

Its AGM Time……

The Club AGM has been scheduled for Sunday Jan 18th at 5pm in the Community Center.  We would ask that all current members attend and welcome any new members who wish to join or help out with the running of the club. All club positions will be up for re-election on the day and you can register your interest in taking up a position by turning up at the meeting or by contacting the club directly.

Our club has established itself as one of the finest in the County with great success on and off the field in 2008 which included the Park Re-opening in August and the winning of the Senior Championship in September. The momentum gathered needs to be maintained and developed further in the coming years. The full list of current committe members and officials is listed on the website and can be found by clicking here.
