Club Notes Week ending July 19th

On Thursday last we defeated Killoe in Div 1 on a score of 2-11 to 0-8. This leaves us 7th in the table on 12 points with 2 games remaining.

Div 1 Team V Killoe: Gavin Tonra, Killian Reilly, Noel Farrell, Paul Kennedy, Brian Brady, Francis Kavanagh, Anthony Gormley, Enda Farrell, Declan C Reilly, Paul  McKeon, Gary Murtagh, JP Reilly, Tommy Doyle, Declan  Farrell, Podge Murtagh.

Subs used: Paul Murtagh, Joe Kellegher.

On Saturday evening, we also defeated Killoe in the Div 3B semi final on a score line of 5-15 to 1-6. We now play Fr Manning Gaels in the final.

Div 3B Team V Killoe: Ali McGuaran, Killian Reilly, Anthony Reilly, TJ Reilly, Mattie Kavanagh, Dermot Kiernan, Joe Kelleher (1-0), Declan Smith (0-1), Kevin Farrell (0-1), Sean McKeon, Derek Murtagh (0-2),  Niall Hudson (3-5), Dave Donnelly, Andy McKeon (0-2), Darren Mulligan.

Subs Used: Enda McGahern (0-1), Francie Mulligan (0-1), Marty McNerney (0-1), Paddy McGauran (1-0), Seamus Smyth.

On Saturday we kick off our challenge in the Intermediate Championship when we entertain Longford Slashers in Fr McGee Park at 7pm. This is the first of three group 4 games with Cashel and Shroid in our group also.

The following day, we also kick off the Junior championship campaign with a home game against Ballymahon at 2pm. We are in group 4 with Moydow and St Columbas. Check fixtures for details of the above games.

Lotto: There was no winner of the July 12th Lotto Draw (17,18,27,29) of 4,400 euro. Lucky Dip winners were Thomas McNally, John j Bohan c/o Nellie G, Joe Cooley Jnr, Gretta o Neill c/o Nellie G, Oisin Mulligan Cornadrung

Next weeks lotto draw takes place in Murtaghs and team 6 are on duty. (Matt Mulligan, Kevin Reilly, Brian Brady (Aughakilmore), Margaret Murtagh).

Fr McGee Park was the venue for Dromard and St Columbas in Group 4 of the Senior Championship on Sunday last. Well done to all who worked hard in preparing the grounds for the game and to all those who helped out with stewarding.

The club extents its sympathy to the Reynolds family on the recent death of Pauline Duffy. May she rest in peace.
