Championship 2009: All roads lead to Monaduff next Sunday as we begin the defense of the Sean Connolly Cup against our neighbours and rivals Dromard. The format for the Senior Championship has been changed this year with teams placed in 4 groups where the top two teams qualify for the quarter finals and the bottom team entered into a play off to determine who plays in the Intermediate Championship in 2010. We are placed in group 4 (the only group with 3 teams) along with Dromard and St Columbas. The team has had a slightly different look about it this year due to injuries and emigration, however there is some new fresh faces in the squad and preparations have been going well with some good wins in the league recently. We would encourage all our loyal supporters to carry on from where they left off in 2008, dust down the flags and support the team all through the 2009 championship. Kick off on Sunday is at 2pm.
