Club Notes Week ending June 21st

On Sunday last we started our defense of the Sean Connolly Cup when we played Dromard in Monaduff. Dromard were the more superior team on the day and ran out with an 11 point win on a score line of Dromard 0-19 Colmcille 1-5. A big improvement will be needed before the St Columbas game.

This Friday we are away to Clonguish in Division 4 and on Saturday away to Fr Manning Gaels in Div 6. See fixtures in sports pages.

Depending on the interest, the Club will run a bus to Croke Park on Sunday 28th to the Leinster Junior Final (Longford v Louth) and Leinster Senior Semi Final (Dublin v Westmeath). Our club have three representatives on the panel, Gary Murtagh, Francis Kavanagh and Paul Keon and all featured on the semi final win over Wicklow recently.

The costs including match tickets are: Adults 40 euro (Students and OAP's 15 euro redeemable at Croke Park), Children 15 euro, and will be on first come basis. The deadline is 12 noon Wed 24th and the bus will leave at 11am on Sunday 28th. Contact Sean Mc Gauran 087 6992012. We would like to with the three lads the best of luck and hopefully there will be a few more Lenister championship football medals in the parish by this time next week.
