A reminder that this Sunday May 10th marks the 125 year GAA celebrations. A special mass will be celebrated at St Colmcille Church followed afterwards by refreshments in the Community Center. All people are welcome to attend. At Fr.Mc Gee Park there will be a day of fun for both young and old, which will include a novelty match (Juniors V Seniors), a sports day for children, bouncy castles, etc. The day will also give the opportunity to reminisce for all current and past members of the Club and is open to all people in the community.

Colmcille GFC invite all club and parish members past and present to attend this special day of celebration, and if you know any people no longer living in the area, please inform them about this special day of celebration and invite them and their relatives to come along.
Also if you have any memorabilia from past years that you would like to display, please contact Marie O’Reilly Keenan on 087 9032887.
There will be an optional entrance fee and a per-centage of the takings will be presented to the Special Olympics Committee, Longford.

On Saturday evening last the senior team recorded a two point win over Fr Manning Gaels in Fr McGee Park. Final score was Colmcille 1-11 Fr Manning Gaels 0-10. The teams went in six points each at half time after the Gaels came back from being five points behind at one stage. However, a quick start to the second half saw Colmcille take another five point lead, including a well taken goal by Tommy Doyle. The Gales replied and narrowed the score to just one point, however a Tommy Doyle free at the finish made it a two point victory for the home side. We now move further up the league table after a draw and two wins so far this season.
