Barna GAA Club is set to roll out the red carpet to players, coaches and parents from the Austin Stacks GAA Club who are being hosted by Barna GAA for the U14s Féile weekend.

As host club to the famous Tralee club, Barna GAA will provide 13 host families to accommodate the 30 or so players on the squad – up to 50 or 60 parents, family and coaches have booked into B&Bs, hotels, and cottages in the area.

The Féile is taking place on the weekend of June 27/28/29, and Barna GAA Club has met all the necessary criteria to qualify as host club to Austin Stacks.

Barna’s U14s will play two Féile matches on the Friday, June 27, against Magherafelt of Derry, and against our neighbours Salthill/Knocknacarra, in the Prairie.

The following morning in Furbo, the U14s will play against the Kerry team it is hosting.

The club is planning a huge welcome for Austin Stacks and their supporters.

There will be a reception for Austin Stacks, either at the church or school hall, on the Friday evening, to introduce the young players to their host families; and on Saturday evening there are plans afoot for entertainment.

On Thursday, June 12, at a time yet to be confirmed, the club will host a table quiz in order to fundraise for the Féile weekend. All support for thios cause would be very much appreciated.
