Colmcille GFC Notes

The minor club ran a very successful car bingo on Friday last which helped raise vital funds for the day to day running of the club. Winners on the night were: Matt McGauran, Bernadette Reilly, Pat Brady, Kathy McNally, Sean Donoughe, John Jones, Tom Lanagan, Emma Flanagan, Colin Kiernan, Lillie Doyle, Joe Kilbride, Margaret Martin, Michael & Jamie Gormley, Pat Gunshinan, Cathal McCabe, Mary Farrelly, Marie Kiernan, Joanne Parker, Ben Parker, Sharon Madden, Helen Curran, Maura Reilly, Evelyn Kiernan, J.P. Hourican and Lizzie Donoughe. Spot prizes were won by: Mairead Comiskey, Shauna McKeon and Sheila Ellis. Congratulations to all winners. Many thanks to all those who sponsored the event, their support was vital to the running of the event. Thanks also to Mark Cadam for the use of his lorry, Milton Hardcastle for calling the numbers, Darren Nugent, Ronnie Bleakley and Peter Masterson for the sound and all those who helped out on the night.

The Minor B team are in championship action on Thursday 14th July at 8pm in McGee Park against Ballymahon Forgney Gaels.

The Senior B Championship quarter final will be contested between the Colmcille lads and Clonguish in Allen Park on Friday 15th at 8.30pm.
The lotto is now well on the way to €10,000, which would be a nice little nest egg to come by. Be sure to have your chance to win by filling in an envelope in all the usual outlets. Annual lotto subscriptions are available by contacting John Flanagan or Frances Kennedy.
There was no winner of the July 3rd lotto draw. Numbers drawn were: 9, 10, 19 and 28. Lucky dip winners were James & Sarah McCabe, Kevin Reilly, Dermot & Fiona Murphy and Ciaran Doyle.
Finally, commiserations to the county seniors who were defeated by Tyrone in the All Ireland qualifiers. They certainly gave a great account of themselves.
