Colmcille GFC Notes

November 8, 2018

The big day has nearly arrived for the cycle from Croke Park to Colmcille. The gang will take to the roads on Saturday to tackle the approx. 120 kilometres between Croker and home. The event has been a huge success and has grown into a very popular activity in Colmcille. No road has been left untouched and no effort has been spared in preparation from the task. As this event is part of Operation Transformation, the cyclists will be looking for some sponsorship and we hope that everyone will support them as generously as possible. The group will be arriving back to the Cross between 5pm and 5.30pm on Saturday and we hope to see a big crowd there to welcome them home. We wish the cyclists the very best for the day and safe travels. There will be an important meeting for all the cyclists tonight (Wednesday) at 9pm in the club meeting room. Please make sure that all safety statements are signed and returned on the night.
The Senior B championship will kick off against Rathcline on Friday 24th at 8.15pm in Clonbonny. Please come out and support the lads.
The minor club are running a car bingo on the 8th July. More details available later.
The 12K Lake View Walk will take place on Saturday 9th July. The Sunday morning walks are continuing from the Cross at 8.30pm.
There was no winner of the June 12th lotto draw. The numbers drawn were 6, 18, 22 and 25. Lucky dip winners were Kevin Sheridan, Seamus Nugent, Bernadette Reilly and Paddy Smith. The jackpot now stands at €9,200. Make sure to be in with a chance of winning big and supporting your local club in the process.
