Colmcille GFC notes

Hard luck to Declan and Noel and all the county team who were defeated by Louth in the Leinster Championship on Sunday last. Despite a very good performance by Longford they lost out by 4 points (1-11 to 1-7).We wish the team all the best for the qualifiers.

On Friday 28th May Colmcille Ladies Club are holding a race night in Longford Dog Track. The first race is at 8pm. Everyone is welcome and all support will be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to the Community Games committee for a very successful sports day on Sunday in Fr. Mc Gee Park. We also thank them for the great tidy up afterwards.

Our Division 6 team lost out by a point to Gratten Og at the weekend. Hard luck to the lads.

Our Division 3 team will take on Mostrim on Wednesday 26th May at 7.30 in Fr. Mc Gee Park.

Other fixtures are dependent on the County team’s result so please check fixtures for a more up to date list. The up to date fixture list is not available at the moment.

At a recent executive meeting votes of sympathy were extended to the families of: Joe Hawkins, Dublin, Jack Murphy, U.S.A. and Patrick Kiernan, Ballymachugh.

There was no winner of the May 16th Lotto Draw (10, 19, 21, 26) of €3800. Lucky Dip winners were Colette Murtagh, Cunareen, Andy Brady, Crott, Thomas Mc Nally, Rathmore, Pauric Martin, Forthill. Seller: Noelle Ward
