Colmcille GFC notes

November 8, 2018

The Minor club are holding a Gala Easter Concert on Good Friday, 2nd April in the Community Centre. It promises to showcase local talent and a great evening’s entertainment is in store starting at 8pm. All support is greatly appreciated.

As mentioned last week, the club are issuing a quarterly newsletter to every house in the parish. The deliveries will be completed over the coming week. Included with the newsletter will be 50 club lotto envelops and a yearly lotto card. We hope that this idea will allow greater access to the lotto and help raise vital funds for the running of the club. We would be grateful if all those interested complete an envelope every week and drop them into the collection points in the local shops and pubs. Alternatively the yearly cards can be completed and also dropped into the collection points. The yearly card costs €100 for twelve months or €50 for six months. We wish to thank you in advance for your support.

The club will hold an open day on the 9th May as part of a G.A.A. initiative for all clubs around the country. No games a scheduled for play on this weekend which was the case on the same weekend last year when the association celebrated its 125th anniversary. The celebrations were a huge success around the country with Colmcille being no exception. We plan to hold similar events throughout the coming year. Anyone interested in helping out or with any suggestions can contact John Reilly on 085 7322857 or e-mail johnreilly30@gmail.com  or Peter Murtagh on 0860724903 or e-mail secretary.colmcille.longford@gaa.ie
