Colmcille GFC

November 8, 2018

The next weigh in for Operation Transformation will take place on Saturday 12th March in the Glenview. It promises to be another night of craic as we gather to see how the contestants are doing in their bid to lose the pounds and become Colmcille’s most transformed. There will also be music on the night. We hope to see you all there to support the contestants.

In other news on the Operation Transformation front the Sunday morning walks are continuing to be a huge success. The walkers will be in action again next Sunday, 13th March, at 8.30am. They will be leaving from the cross and heading for Molly I believe. All are welcome to come along.

Fr. Mc Gee Park will also be open for use on Tuesday nights. The floodlights will be on from 7.30 to 9.30pm, which provides a safe place to exercise. There is a €2 charge to help with the cost of the lighting. Once again, this facility is open to all. Step aerobics also continue on Thursday nights in the community centre.

During the May Bank Holiday weekend Colmcille GFC, along with the Colmcille branch of the Mentally Handicapped Association, will host a 12K lake view walk/run. We hope that the entire parish will support this worthy cause and encourage people from outside the parish to get involved also. Registration will take place on the day or by contacting any of the Transformation team: John Reilly, Seamus McKeon, Paul Kennedy, Marie Keenan, Joe Mulligan, Colm Ginty, Myles Reilly, John Flanagan, Gerry Mc Cabe, Pauline Reilly or Catherine Gray. The cost of entry will be €10 for adults and €5 for under 16’s. For further details contact John Reilly on 0857322857.
