Congratulations to Joey Noonan.

Well done to Joey Noonan, son of Robert and Sharon Noonan, Milestown, Cloneen, who played on the Tipperary county U14 football team which took part in the  Jim Power Tournament on Saturday 14th July in Dungarvan. Tipp were drawn in group 1 with Waterford, Cork and Kerry North. In the first game Tipp beat Kerry North 1-9 to 1-5. Tipp totally dominated the second game against Waterford with Tipp getting a score of 7-11 to a low scoring Waterford. Their final game in the group was against Cork with Tipp winning 1-13 to 0-6. Tipp qualified for the final from their group with Kerry south qualifing from the other group. The final which was a very close game ended in a draw. A penalty shootout was to decide the winner and unfortunately the Kerry side won this by a 2 goals to 1.
