Minor:

The minor B final which was due to be played last Sunday before the senior county final was postponed due to a bereavement in the St. Pat’s club. The match has been rescheduled for next Saturday, October 10 in Markievicz at 3pm. Please support the team. The club extends sympathy to the Kearins Family, Dromard on the death of Tom Kearins. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.

125 Final Day Parade:

A special parade took place on county final day last Sunday as part of this year’s 125 celebrations. All the clubs in the county were represented by members from their respective U-12 panels. Coolaney/Mullinabreena was represented by Cathal Finan and Eamon Gorman on the day.

Underage Blitz/Presentation:

On Saturday last October 3rd a mini blitz series and special presentation was held at Nace O’Dowd Park. A huge turnout of almost fifty boys and girls along with many parents and spectators were entertained with three concurrent exhibition games involving the U-6, U-8 and U-10/ U-12 groups. All of the children involved were presented with special commemorative 125 GAA medals for the event. Refreshments were also provided. Coach Michael Gorman and club chairman Brendan Kivlehan both addressed the gathering. Tributes were paid to all the coaches involved throughout the year for their volunteer work and to all the children and parents involved. It’s very encouraging to see such great numbers attending these coaching sessions and indicates the strength of the club at underage level at the moment. Once again well done to all involved in organising this magnificent club event. Check the club website for photos of the event.
