In the GAA Centenary year of 1984 Mullinabreena, after a lapse of sixteen years, captured the Junior title beating Calry in the final by 0:10 to 0:05. The club is holding a dinner dance as part of a reunion of the 1984 junior winning team and officials. This is a great opportunity to honour this team and will provide a fantastic occasion for the club and communities to get together and celebrate in style. The date is bank holiday Sunday October 25th and the venue is the Clarion Hotel Sligo. More details to follow in the coming weeks. Contact John Marren or Ollie Lee for details. Mark it in your diary!

Old Photos:

We are appealing to anyone with old club photos ( in particular from 1984 ) to forward them on to Ollie Lee or David Hosey. They will be copied and returned.

Intermediate:

Our intermediate side defeated Owenmore Gaels in the championship quarter final played at Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry last Saturday. This was a much improved performance and was a well merited victory on a score line of 1.14 to 0.7.  C/M started this game with great intent and race into a 1.02 to no score lead within five minutes. Owenmore were causing some problems however and responded well. The dismissal of their centre forward just before the break unsettled them as C/M enjoyed a 1.07 to 0.5 lead at half time. The second period was a somewhat pedestrian affair, with C/M mostly in control as they pushed on to win comfortably in the end. We now play Geevagh in the semi final fixed for the weekend of September 12th/13th.

Team: F Brennan, S Walsh, S Marren, W Kivlehan, C Connolly, A Walsh, J McGowan, B Kivlehan, B Coleman(0.2), S Kivlehan(1.02), D Doherty(0.4), O Lee,
