Intermediate:

 

Preparations continue for the Intermediate championship which will commence in a few weeks. We have been drawn in group D along with St. Pats and Cloonacool with the first game against St. Pats on the weekend of August 8/9.

 

Minor:

 

Our minor side have been drawn in a group along with Geevagh and St. Pats in the B championship. The first game is fixed for August 17th.

 

U-16:

 

Our U-16 side produced a stirring second half performance in Keash last Friday evening to defeat Eastern harps in this A2 championship semi final. Trailing by a point at the half, the visitors soon regained the lead and never relinquished it. Although only a point up with five minutes remaining, C/M finished strongly with four unanswered points to win on a score line of 2.12 to 2.07. Credit to both clubs for their involvement in this very entertaining encounter. C/M will now play the winners of Coolera and Calry in the final which is fixed for August 8th.

Coolaney/Mullinabreena were forced to concede home advantage on this occasion due to essential surface repair works being carried out at Nace O’Dowd Park. 

 

Sligo U-16:

 

Best wishes to club players Raymond Connolly, Aiden Coleman and Declan McCormack who are members of the Sligo U-16 panel this year.

 

U-12:

 

Our U-12 team took part in a blitz games series last Friday in Bunninadden.

Panel: Niall Haran, Conor Haran, Oran Mulvey, Enda Gallagher, Eamon Gorman, David Ruttledge, Cathal Finan, Nathan Mullen and Clyde Carroll.

 

U-10/U-8:

 

Great work continues at underage level within the club and with participation in different blitz games. The most recent was held in Tubbercurry last Saturday week.

U-10: Shane Gormally, Barry Gorman, Daniel Mullen, Gerard Mullen, Kieran Touhy, Niall Feely, Thomas Kilcoyne, John Gilmartin, Grainne Marren and Gavin Gorman.

U-8: Shane Touhy, Kieran Gorman, Eire Finan, Kevin Gorman, Darragh Henry, Sile Gorman, Rachel Henry, Brian Marren, Jack Coleman, Shane Feely, Aisling Feely, Cian Goulden, Leigh Mullen, James Gannon and James Kilcoyne.

 

Lotto:

The numbers drawn in the May Lotto draw were 3, 9, 17 and 28. There was no jackpot winner. Congrats to John McGowan, Killoran and Bernard Finnegan, Knockadoo who both matched three numbers to share the monthly prize of €200. The numbers drawn for June were 6, 18, 30 and 36. There was no jackpot winner. Congrats to Michael Hosey, Chaffpool who matched three numbers to win the monthly prize of €200. The jackpot for July now stands at €7400. It could be you!!!!!!!!

 

Sligo v Kerry:

 

Commiserations to Barry Kivlehan and the Sligo team and management after the narrow loss to Kerry in Tralee last Saturday. Well done to the many club supporters who made the arduous journey south to shout on the county.

 

Club Meeting:

 

The July club meeting will be held next Monday July 27th in St. Nathy’s Hall, Mullinabreena at 9.30pm. All members are encouraged to attend.
