Coolaney/Mullinabreena GAA PRO Notes

The Launch of the clubs Strategic plan 2013- 2018, will take place in the Coolaney community centre on Saturday 28th September at 8pm. Refreshments will be served. The booklet which will be presented to the public on the night highlights the way forward for the club over the next 5yrs. We hope to see as many people as possible there, as this is a very important event for our club.

The club will run a foundation course on Friday 18th October from 7pm to 10pm, and on Saturday 19th October from 10am to 1.30 pm in Coolaney Community centre. A code of Ethics course will take place on Friday 11th October from 7pm to 10pm, In Coolaney Community Centre. These are compulsory courses for anyone who wishes to get involved in coaching within the club. Anyone interested please contact Patricia Gorman or Leo Coleman.

The Minor team have reached the championship semi final , they were convincing winners over St. Molaise Gaels, the final score was 5-10 to 1-5, they play Coolera in the semi final in Achonry on October 5th at 5pm.

The U.16 team were defeated in the semi final by Eastern Harps, the final score was 4-14 to 1-3. This concludes the U-16 season for another year, the club wish to thank everyone efforts for the season.

Well done to the U.14 team on reaching the county final, they defeated Tourlestrane in the semi final 5-15 to 3-9, they play Shamrock Gaels in the final on Wednesday 25th September in Markievicz Park.

Congratulations to St Nathy’s Ladies club on capturing the county championship at the weekend. They overcame Geevagh in the final. THey now go on to represent Sligo in the forthcoming Connacht Championship.

Congratulations and best wishes to former club player Bernard Finnegan & Emer Haughey who got married at the weekend in Carrick, Co Donegal. We wish them both health & happiness in their future lives together.
