Sligo Board Draw:

The Sligo County Board arecurrently running a large fundraising draw for the county centre of excellence.Every club including our own is required to return a specified amout oftickets.

Due to our own current,significant club fundraising efforts, we are under no circumstances expectingor approaching club members to purchase said tickets. However, any club memberswho are interested in supporting the draw are requested to purchase ticketsfrom our club executive. These will be credited to our club and go towards ourreturn obligation.

Paidi O’Se Legend Night:

AnEvening With GAA Legends Featuring Páidí O’Sé. A unique night of Music, Song,Dance and GAA nostalgia will be held in Killoran’s Traditional LoungeTubbercurry on Thursday Night 26th of July at 9pm. Special Guests on the Nightwill be Kerry GAA Legend, Páidí O’Sé, who will recall many of his famousclashes over the years including that with the Sligo team Connacht Champions of1975. Also there will be members of that Connacht Championship winning SligoTeam of 1975, as well as the 1968 Sligo Minor Team, Connacht Champions and AllIreland Finalists of that year.

There will be music, craic and plenty of Annie Killoran’s renowned Boxty, aswell as great GAA Memories with Páidí and the Sligo Legends. There will also bea monster raffle draw held on the night for signed GAA Jerseys, including Sligo1975 jersey, current and 2007 Connacht Championship winning Sligo team jersey,Kerry jersey, and a Dublin jersey signed by the membersof Dublin’s2011 All Ireland winning side.

The event is being organised by former Sligoand Connacht Championship winning full back, John Brennan, for hisCoolaney/Mullinabreena Club Hero 2012 Campaign. 15% of all proceeds raised inthe Club Hero 2012 will go to Barnardo’s National Childrens Charity. Admissionis €10, and a wonderful night for all lovers of GAA, Irish music and craic isassured!

The club wishes to extend sympathy to the Henry family, Coolaneyfollowing the recent death of Gary Henry. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.

 

Minor:

Our minor team defeatedCoolera in the A2 championship last Thursday on a scoreline of 3.18 to 2.17.They play

 

U-16:

Our U-16 side play athome to Curry on Monday July 16th at 7pm.

 

U-12:
