Club Meeting:

 

The first club meeting of the new year will take place onMonday January 10th in St. Nathy’s Hall at 9pm. All members are encouraged toattend.

 

Club Night:

 

The club had great night out last week in Cawley’sTubbercurry where the victorious minor team were presented with their medals bySligo manager Kevin Walsh and sartorialelegance was the order of the night. Club Chairman Brendan Kivlehanskillfully compered the proceedings. A special presentation was also madeto Kieran Finan by new county chairman Cyril Feely. Eamon Gorman spoke onbehalf of the management team and captain Cian O’dowd also spoke and made apresentation to managers Eamon Gorman and Colin Connolly. Many thanks to allwho helped with organising the event and all agreed that an enjoyablenight was had.

 

ChristmasCompetition:

 

This year we are again running with our now annual Christmascompetition. Up for grabs is a copy of the highly recommended and best seller‘The Club’ by Christy O’Connor which profiles the highs and lows in a twelvemonth period of the county Clare club St.JosephsDoora/Barefield. Club AGM:

 

The clubAGM has been fixed for Saturday January 15th in St. Nathy’s Hall at 6pm. Theclub continues our appeal to members of our communities who may have aninterest in getting involved in any way with the running of our club. Assistantcommittee positions are especially required to be filled. Anyone wishing tobecome involved at a coaching or administration level can contact clubsecretary Leo Coleman or any club officer.

 

Happy New Year: 

 

The clubwould like to wish all our members a happy new year. Here’s hoping for furtherprogress this year and the continued support of all our members and volunteerswho make our club what it is. Many thanks to all our club lotto members foryour support again this past year.

 

County Convention:

 

Congrats toCyril Feely and Richard Brennan who take over as county chairman and vicechairman respectively after last week’s convention. Club President WalterKivlehan remains as Connacht conventiondelegate and Tommy Kilcoyne remains as central council delegate. Best wishes toJohn Murphy who completes his successful five year tenure at the helm.
