Coolderry advance to Leinster Final

November 8, 2018

Coolderry                     1-18

Ballyboden St Enda’s   0-15

This was a highly entertaining and competitive game which kept the sizeable crown entertained right to the finish.

Coolderry were slow into their stride and found themselves 0-6 to 0-3 down mid way through the first half.  However, they hit a purple patch in the closing seven minutes of the half and following some good points from Murray, Parlon and Ryan, Barry Teehan got through for the game’s only goal in the 27th minute and Coolderry went on to lead 1-11 to 0-8 at the break.

On the resumption Ballyboden threw everything at the Offaly Champions but despite getting the margin down to four points on a number of occasions could never really penetrate the Coolderry rear guard and with Parlon in scintillating form, he hit a total of six points from play, Coolderry were never going to be denied.  Both sides hit 11 wides over the hour.
