Cooley match report and 10000 Draw info

November 7, 2018

COOLEY MATCH REPORT:
Third game in the league, third win in the league for the Rangers. Cooley at home got off to a more promising start kicking taking an early lead through Brian White and Paddy Sheelan free kicks. Adrian Reid then turned the game on is head with a breakaway goal which kept the lacklustre Collon men in the game.
The game was riddled with mistakes and poor passing from both sides, the blinding sun could have been a factor. Neil Gallagher the county goalkeeper spurned a couple of goal chances the second one in particular crashing off the crossbar. The Mattock men were fortunate to be level going into the break.
Second half and looking more composed with scores from David Reid Mattock grew some confidence. Possession like always was hard fought around the middle with Mattock scrapping for everything and Cooley running out of ideas. They raised their performance and kept possession brilliantly which was typified by the final score of the game, there were at least 20 passes before Keith Brennan clipped the ball over the bar to leave two between the sides going into injury time.
But there was still  time for drama! Cooley worked the ball up the field and created a goal chance for White, which was expertly denied by Mike Englishby and the following scrabble resulted in controversial wide ball!  Although having not played as well as they can, Mattock maintained their 100% record, which shows the trait of Champions.
