Creggs U-15’s

Creggs 15s recorded a well earned 20 – 17 home win over top two side Sligo on Sunday. James Brandon came into the backrow, releasing Brian Diffley to inside centre with Adam White on his outside. With the added addition of Niall Cunniffe on the wing our backline had shape and potency about them and with Edward Clinton,Daniel Butt and Brandon to the fore in a hard working pack our side side looked a serious outfit. After taking a 10-5 lead we relaxed for a period in the second half conceding two quick tries and with the game entering the last four minutes and two points down we kept building the pressure and Brandon got over to give us the win. James McNally and Conor Shanagher at half back combined well, Michael Feely showed good potential on the wing and Conor Mc Neill at 15 made his customary number of quality tackles. Along with afore mentioned forwards, Max Bannon was rock solid at loose head, with Rory Cunniffe hitting his jumpers with accuracy. Aidan Devine, James Fetherstone and Sean Doorly had all committed games in the back five and with big units like Andrew Mannion coming off the bench Creggs 15s showed their true worth on Sunday. We have a training match at home to Ballaghaderreen on Wed night next 7 30 KO, meet at 7pm and we are home to Galwegians Blue on Saturday, time to be confirmed
