The lads started well and despite conceding a silly goal against the run of play, didn't panic and the rewards came. Captain Eoin O Halloran scored first followed by the ever reliable Rhys Kelly Noonan and a long range screamer from Adam Gumley to take a deserved 3-1 lead. However Macroom didn't come to make up the numbers and went on a scoring spree themselves to draw level during the second half. Fionn Mansfield put the home team back in front after some great build up play and Crosser continued to pile on the pressure. Macroom responded with an equaliser and despite several close calls, that's the way it ended. 4-4. Three draws leaves the team further down the table than their performances deserve, but it is still early days in Division 2.
