Cumann Iománaíocht Maigh Cuilinn "Chance a Dance" Fundraiser

November 7, 2018

An entertaining, community fundraising event is being held in The Clayton Hotel, on Saturday  April 9, with doors opening at 7pm.

The dance night will be the main fundraiser for the Moycullen Hurling Club for 2016, with funds raised going towards the development of the game in the parish. Following their hugely successful season in 2015, the club are hopeful of bringing home more silverware in 2016.

To achieve their ambitions, the club would appreciate your support for this novel venture, which will see 34 local lads and ladies take to the stage to show their prowess in the world of dance entertainment.

An eight-week training programme is well under way at this stage, a programme which demands dedication and commitment from each participant. The training has already proven highly entertaining and there is no doubt that the big night in the Clayton Hotel is one not to be missed.

The twinkle-toed troop is made up of people from all corners of the parish, so please choose your own favourite and get the flags and banners made up to support them. The 34 volunteers are just normal folk who can catch a sliotar, kick a football, run a business, be a mum, be a dad, work all day/night – but the big question in Moycullen is: can they dance? Your vote will count on the night, so make sure you’re there.

  • Tickets, which are priced at €20 and include a free €5 vote for the act of your choice and free admission to a ‘Disco after the Dance’, are available from the dancers, from Michael Darcy on 087 3105414 or from any club committee member.
