Defibulator Training

Professional defibulator training for club members assisting any club teams and any members of social club staff will be provided by the Club on Saturday 26th February. If you are interested in attending please contact Miceal Crilly now on 07918695428. Certificates will be presented to all members completing the course.

 
Course Duration is a mandatory 4-6 hours and Course content is dealing with a causality that may or not be (breathing normally) proper protocol as laid down below
D danger
R response
A airway
B breathing
C compressions (chest)
D defib
Both Adult and Child CPR is included.
Understanding what VF is (ventricular fibrillation) The chain of survival and what CPR actually does.
Recovery position and Chocking is also included.
The Course tutor will be showing a DVD which clearly shows the CPR and AED protocol fully explained.
The Course also includes a training manual with built in certificates and provisions for update training in all categories mentioned above of which the candidate retains and on completion of the course the tutor will  sign and stamp the certificate pages.
The qualification obtained is a Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator certificate.
The CPR will be assessed to a NVQ competence based level this is the most difficult part of the course as a high standard must be achieved before being allowed to complete the Defib training.
Total cost including Manual is £50 per candidate (paid for by the Club)
 
Level 1 Football Coaching Course: Friday 25th and Saturday 26th January in St Malachy’s High School. The course will be run over two week-ends 25th and 26th Jan and 1st and 2nd February. Friday night sessions start 7.00pm and Saturdays 9.30am to 4.00pm. This course is open to all club coaches who have completed their football foundation certificate. Course fee is £80 (paid for by Club). Coaches committed to Castlewellan teams in 2008 are invited to apply to Miceal Crilly.
