Best for Roche: Niall Treanor worked tirelessly and Duane Callan raided forward at every opportunity, Robert O’Hanlon was always involved, David Quigley stood out in the second period after a quiet first apart from Callan’s point. Up front Philip Quinn, Liam Carthy and Paudie Callaghan were always visible and involved and kept Roche ticking over with scores until the rest came alive late in the second half. Barry McConnon showed up with some skilful touches and sub Enda Murphy injected some pace and invention when introduced in the final quarter.
