Medal Presentation
The Juvenile Club held a medal presentation on Sunday 18th December in Drom Community Hall. With over 317 medals to be given out after a fantastic year on the playing field at every grade it was heart warming to see some many youngsters collecting medals.
The under 10s collected their Paddy Carey Shield medals, the under 12s collected Premier Games Football Final medals while the under 14s collected an astonishing haul of seven medals for Mid and County hurling & Football medals, Feile medals and also Peil medals. Well done to all the players and their mentors. We would like to thank Seamus Callanan and Liam McGrath for giving up their spare time and making the presentations. They are highly regarded by our young players. Thanks also to representatives from the Mid Bord na nOg including Joe Kennedy & Andy O’Gorman and new Chairman Joe O’Sullivan, our very own Sally Young Mid Bord na nOg secretary ,Andy Ryan Coaching Officer (Mid GDA), Paudie Butler and Austin Broderick Chairman of Drom-Inch Senior Club for addressing the audience. After the formalities there were lots of refreshments for everyone, thanks to donations from all of the parents. It is much appreciated by the club. Also to finish the night we had fantastic performances by County Scor na nOg solo song champion Ashley Shanahan and Munster Under 7 Irish Dancing Champion Ciara Prout. Hopefully 2012 will be as successful and this time next year we’ll have another busy night.
