Senior Hurling

The senior hurlers played Thurles Sarsfields Sunday evening in Holycross in the final game of the group stage. Despite a spirited display, some of our shooting let us down and we were defeated on a score of 3-4 to 14 points. Our focus now turns to the Mid quarter finals which are due to be held on Saturday 19th June. Training continues Friday.

Training continues this week and there will be a challenge match this week. Check club text for details. First round against Gortnahoe is on Sunday 20th June in Templetuohy. The final county hurling league game will take place on Tuesday 15th against Moyle Rovers in Monroe. Keep an eye on club text and county fixtures for further details.

Juvenile News:

Under 12 A Hurling 2010

The under 12s make a start to their hurling year on Tuesday 15th June vs Holycross in Drom Field at 7:30

Under 14:

Well done to our under 14 footballers and their mentors who qualified for the county final with a hard fought win over Ardfinnan on a score of 1-8 to 0-9. This was a hard fought win against a very skilful Ardfinnan side but the lads dug deep and thanks to some brave defending and lads willing to put their bodies on the line we came out on top. The final takes place now on Saturday against Burgess. We would urge all supporters to give this team the support they deserve and we have every confidence in them to bring back another title.

Under 14 Hurling

The boys don’t have much time to rest after competing in the football county final, but hopefully will be going into the hurling competition on a high as they take on Loughmore on Thursday 17th June in The Ragg at 7:30 pm in the first round of the mid championship.

Drom National School:
Well done to Drom National School Under 13 hurlers who defeated Clerihan NS in the Roinn F Quarter final last week and now go forward to the County Semi Final in the coming weeks.
