Drom-Inch Weekly club notes

Senior
OnWednesday night our Seniors contest the County hurling league Premier Divisionfinal in Dolla at 6.30. We ask as many supporters as possible to attend andsupport the team as they attempt to build upon the recent Cahill Cup success.
Juniors
Congratsto our Junior A’s who qualified for the mid semi final by defeating ThurlesSarsfields (B) in Templemore on Sunday evening last by 1-19 to 0-13. This was agreat result given that we were short a few players on the night.
 
Minor Football mid final
Congratsto our minor footballers who put in a fantastic performance to defeat a strongMoyne Templetuohy Og side last Wednesday in the Mid final. This was a greatachievement and is encouraging to see football getting stronger within theclub. Captain Jamie Maloney collected the trophy on behalf of the team. Theynow face Ballyporeen in the county semi final.
 
Minor Hurling Semi final
Ourminors play the mid hurling semi final on Tuesday against Gortnahoe Glengoole.See mid fixtures for details.
 
U12 Shield
Welldone to the under 12s who put up a spirited performance beating JK brackens inshield competition. Their last two rounds have been fixed for Tuesday 6th Septagainst Durlas Og in Drom field at 6:30pm and Friday 15th Sept againstBoherlahan in Drom Field at 6:30pm.
 
U14 A Mid hurling final
Ourunder 14s put up a great performance overcoming Moycarkey in the mid semifinal Monday night last. They now face Durlas Og in the mid final on Thursday1st September in Drombane at 6:45pm.  We urge everyone to come along andgive their support to the lads.
  
Under 16 Quarter Final
Theu16s are playing JK Brackens in their hurling quarter final on Monday 29th at6:45pm in Clonakenny.
 
Tony Forristal
Congratulations toEmmet Moloney, Jamie Bergin, Thomas Nolan and Mikey Connors who represented theclub on the Tipperary under14 A squad winningthe all Ireland final in Waterford over the weekend by defeating Cork. Also well done to Kevin Hassettand Ciaran Thorpe who reached the Sonny Walsh Cup final with the Tipperary under 14 B squad but were defeated by Cork. Well done to Kevinwho was captained the side who won all bar one of their games. 
 
Tipperary U15
Welldone also to Kevin Aherne and Paul Kennedy who represented the club on theCounty under 15 B Squad and reached their all Ireland final but unfortunatelylost out to cork.
It isa huge achievement to have had so many travelling to play for theirCounty. The Club is very proud of them all.
 
Tipperary Supporters U16Tournament 2011
Drom-Inchhad the honour of hosting Waterford,Kilkenny and Laois in the Tipperary Supporters U16 Tournament on Saturday last.The day went without a hitch and we would like to thank all those whogave up their time in helping out with the event from catering, fieldpreparation, programme sellers, scoreboard and sideline.

Bestof luck to Seamus Callanan, James Woodlock and the Tipperary Panel next Sundayin the All-Ireland Hurling Final in Croke Park. We have no doubt ye will do usproud and keep Liam McCarthy in the Home of Hurling.
