Senior Hurling
This Sunday sees the Mid Senior hurling final takes place inTempletuohy at 7pm. This year there is aticket system in place for the final and tickets can be pre-booked through theclub which will see a rebate of 2 euro going to the club where as admission onthe day is also possible this will not result in the 2 euro for the club. Wewould urge as many as possible to pre-book their tickets as the more tickets wesell the more money shall go to the club. Prices are as follows Adult €10,OAP/Students €5, U16’s free. Tickets are available in Younge’s The Ragg,Maloney’s shop, the Ragg and Ryan’s Pub Drom or by contacting Pat Egan. Ticketswill also be on sale after all masses this weekend in Drom and Inch. Pleasenote that tickets do not guarantee aseat at the game and it is advised to arrive early as there is intermediatechampionship match on prior to the Mid Senior Final. We would urge allsupporters to turn out in force for what promises to be a very entertainingaffair as these 2 teams have never met before in a Mid Senior final and bothteams will want to win this title.
IntermediateHurling
The next round of the Intermediate championship againstThurles Sarsfields shall take place on Friday in Kickham Parkat 7.30pm.
Junior Hurling
Our Junior A’s suffered a narrow defeat at the hands ofThurles Sarsfields (A) by 1-11 to 0-15. This was a disappointing result giventhe amount opportunities we had in the first half but for some erraticshooting. We now must win our remaining matches in order to ensurequalification to the knockout stages. On Sunday afternoon among monsoon typeconditions our junior B’s all but booked their passage through to the midquarter final with a 3-12 to 0-2 victory over Thurles Gaels in the fantasticnew development in Kickham Park. Training continueson Tuesday night this week. The Junior B Quarter final against Moycarkey Borrisshall take place Saturday 6th August in Kickham Parkat 7.30.
Minor Hurling
Our minors got their hurling campaign off to the best possiblestart with a win over Gortnahoe Glengoole by 5-12 to 1-10. They playUpperchurch Drombane in the next round in the Ragg on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
Under 12
Our under 12’s continue their league with a matchagainst JK Brackens in the Garda field Templemore at 7pm on Tuesday 19th.
 
Under 14
Our Under 14’s continued their championship onThursday evening last when they were defeated by Durlas Og in a thrillingencounter in Pairc na nOg Thurles. They play Holycross Ballycahill in Holycrossat 7.30pm on Thursday 21st.
 
 
Under 14 County Footballers
Congrats to Emmet Maloney, Jamie Bergin, ColmKinane, Ciaran Thorpe and Michael Connors who played for Tipperary in the Munster Power Cup inDungarvan on Saturday. Tipperaryemerged as overall winners of the competition with all our players reallyexcelling and playing brilliantly especially Emmet who kicked 9 points in thefinal game. The future of football looks extremely bright within the club witha good stream of talent currently coming through at all levels.
 
Under 16
Our under 16’s continue their campaign this Mondayagainst Holycross Ballycahill in the Ragg at 7.30.
 
Under6,8,10
Last week saw the annual VHI Cul Camps take placein the Ragg and we were very fortunate with the fine weather which we got forit. Everybody really enjoyed the camp and were delighted to receive their Culcamp packs which included a jersey and sliotar. Special word of thanks must goto the “special guests”- Conor O Mahoney and Brendan Maher who attended thecamp and signed jerseys and hurleys. On Friday our very own Seamus Callanan wason hand to present medals to the kids and we thank him for that. Thanks toeverybody who took part in the camp and to those who helped in any way make itsuch a great success. Thanks to Kevin Butler and his coaches. Also thanks toMatthew McGrath for coaching the under 6’s who also had their own camp lastweek with Francis McAllister and Rhona Carroll.
