Edenderry Ladies GAA

November 8, 2018

Edenderry Senior Ladies booked their place in this year’s League Final following a good win over Killeigh in Daingean on Sunday evening last. The Edenderry girls were quick off the mark with points from Sinead Taylor and Niamh Moriarty. Orla Cullen and Grainne Vaugh showed good defensive play in the opening period and with the midfield pairing of Nuala Redican and Elisha Hunston setting up attack after attack the reds went in at the break leading 4-7 to 1-1.
As expected Killeigh with the wind on their backs in the second period became more dominant and found the back of the Edenderry net on two occasions. The Edenderry girls though always had the upper hand and ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 5-14 to 3-3
They now play neighbours Rhode in the final this Wednesday evening. Venue yet to be confirmed.
