ELPHIN GAA CLUB NOTES 10th Nov 2014

November 8, 2018

Our 125 Celebration Banquet takes place in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon on Friday December 5th at 8pm. It's a night not to be missed and includes the launch the second volume of our Club History, the announcement of the Team of 35 years and live music from Slider. Special Guests on the night include Uachtaráin CLG Liam Ó Neill and Kerry Star Aidan O'Mahony. Tickets are €35 and are available from Coman Brady and Anne Rock with further outlets to be confirmed. Buy now to avoid disappointment!

Commiserations to our Under 21 Team who bowed out of the Championship with a three point defeated to St. Dominics on Sunday. Final score: Elphin 0-14 St. Dominics 3-9. The team were disappointed not to have reached the same heights as last year. The Club thanks Martin, Fintan, Shane and all the players for their efforts this year.

Our Juniors were unable to fulfil the Relegation play-off game against St. Croans scheduled for Friday night. The majority of the Under 21 team were also members of the Junior team and a request to defer the game couldn't be facilitated. The team will play in the new Division Four League in 2015, which will also include six other teams from the current Division Three, many of whom they defeated this year.

Circuit Training for 14 to 18 year olds beings in the Community Centre this Friday (14th) at 7pm and all players are asked to attend.

Best of luck to our players involved in the Under 15 and Under 17 Regional Tournaments. Elphin, Kilmore and Shannon Gaels have been paired together and the objective is to give players from all Clubs the opportunity to play Division 1 Grade football in order to further develop their skills and experience. The Under 17s are due to play a Tulsk Lord Edwards / St. Croans/ Western Gaels / Ballinameen combination in Kilbride on Wednesday at 8pm and the Under 15 game against the same opposition is due to be played on Sunday at 12pm and may be in the Orchard. Updates to follow
