SENIOR:
Congrats to our senior squad who have reachedthe county final for a second year running. Elphin were one point victors overa good Kilbride team on Sunday last.
Kilbride were quickest out of theblocks with a breeze in their backs and took a 3 point lead after ten minutes.This was wiped out by a well taken goal by Brian Cregg. There was little to choose between the teamsup to half time.
After the break Kilbride stretchedtheir lead again but Elphin gradually reeled them in. Scores were hard to comeby but Elphin eventually found an equaliser. It looked as though the game mightgo to a replay but in injury time the ball found its way to Frankie Cregg whowas pulled back. He duly dispatched the resulting free and the final whistlecame soon afterwards.
Elphin will now play St. Brigid`s in arepeat of last year’s final.
