Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 16th JUNE 2014

Club Notes 16th June

A General Meeting of the Club takes place next Monday at 8pm in the Orchard. Players, Coaches, Parents & Supporters all welcome!

Commiserations to the Seniors on their defeat to Boyle in the Championship. They have a busy week ahead, with games against Western Gaels on Wednesday at 8pm and Strokestown on Sunday at 2pm. Both games will be played in the Orchard. 

Minor Training takes place in The Orchard on Thursday at 8pm. All panel members are asked to attend 

Under 16 training takes place tomorrow evening (Tuesday) at 7pm in The Orchard. The Championship will commence soon and all players are asked to make a special effort to attend. 

The Under 14s are due to play Éire Óg (away) in the Championship on Thursday at 7:30pm 

The Under 12s are back in action following a week off and set to play St. Michaels (away) on Sunday at 12pm. 

Congratulations to the Under 12 Ladies team who won the Division 2A title on Sunday evening. 

We host Éire Óg, Castlerea St Kevins, Kilbride and St. Ronans in the next phase of the Under 10 Go Games Blitzes on Saturday at 11am. A meeting to discuss preparations will be held in the Orchard Park Gym on Wednesday night. 

The Under 8s took part in a very enjoyable Blitz last Saturday in Kilglass. Thank you to Kilglass Gaels for their hospitality. 

Best of luck to the Abbeycartron NS Girls against Croghan NS in the Cumann na mBunscol Top Schools Final on Wednesday at 5pm in Ballyleague.

The Club will host a general meeting in the Clubrooms on Monday June 23rd at 8pm. Players, Coaches, supporters, parents and anyone with an interest in Club activities is invited to attend. 

There was no Lotto Jackpot winner last weekend, the Four lucky dip winners of €25 each were John Kelly, Marty Flanagan, Michael Donlon (Lucan) and Kevin Brady (New York). The Jackpot now stands at €2,200, click herehttp://www.locallotto.ie/localhome.asp?LL_ID=321 to play. 

A Kellogg's GAA Cúl Camp takes place in The Orchard from July 7th to 11th . The Camp is a great way for children aged 6 – 13 to play Gaelic Games and new GAA skills in a fun child-friendly environment. The cost is €55 per player (€45 for 2nd family member & €40 for additional members) and includes a free Playing Kit and Backpack!
