Elphin GAA Update August 1st
Adult Football:
Well done to the Juniors who had a good win in the league over Roscommon Gaels on Friday evening last. Final Score Elphin 3-18 Roscommon Gaels 2-6.
Elphin/Ballinameen Underage Round-up
Elphin Ballinameen U-14’s lost out to Kilbride on a score line of 8-12 to 4–10.
The U16 game v Kilmore/Shannon Gaels was deferred until a later date. They play Boyle on Sunday next in Boyle at
12pm.
The minors have a busy week. They were defeated by St. Dominic’s in Knockcroghery on Tuesday evening and they are out again on Thursday evening where they take on St. Ciarans in the Orchard at 8pm. Best of luck to all teams.
Elphin LGFA
We are still collecting bags of clothes for our clothing collection to raise funds for our underage teams. If you wish to donate your old / unwanted clothes simply fill a bag / bags and drop them inside the gates of the Orchard. Clothes, shoes, handbags accepted – no bedding or curtains please. Every bag counts!
U14’s play Round 4 of the Championship at home to Kilbride on the 5th August at 6pm.
The club will be launching a new website as part of the recently launched 3 year plan, if anyone has any suggestions as to what type of content you might like to see on the website can you please send your suggestions to the facebook page or contact Sharon Tansey, we would really appreciate any contribution.
Club Rossie Members Draw
The 2018 Club Rossie annual draw takes place next Tuesday, August 7th. Club Rossie is the main income generator for our county teams and is a vital support to the work been done at all levels in Roscommon GAA. We urge anyone who can to become a member, Gold Membership costs €230 per year & Bronze €100. Membership, which includes entry to the draw, can be purchased/renewed online (www.clubrossie.ie) or by cheque/cash by contacting Eric Murray on 086 8276895 or Coman Brady on 086 6091106. Over the coming days we will be in touch with everyone from the club who purchased tickets last year.
Elphin GAA Lotto:
There was no jackpot winner in this week’s lotto. The Numbers Drawn were 7, 11, 12 & 19. The Lucky Dip winners are William Lyster, Jimmy Caslin, John Joe Shanagher, Peter Scott. The Next week’s jackpot is €7,400 and the Draw is in Central Bar. Entry is just €2, Envelopes are available in local shops or you can play here.
