SENIOR:
Our Senior team qualifies for thequarter final of the championship with a good 2 point win over St. Faithleach`sin Strokestown last Saturday evening. St. Faithleach`s got off  to the better start and an early goal putthem in a strong position, but Elphin managed to stay in touch and went in only2 points down at half time.
Elphin were the better team in the 2ndhalf but were struggling to get the equalising point. Once it arrived therelooked to be only one winner and so it turned out as Elphin ran out 0-09 to1-04 winners.

UNDERAGE FUNDRAISER:
The club is launching a fund-raising drive to raise money to buy clubt-shirts for all the juvenile players up to the under 12s and to take the under12 s and 10s on a trip to Croke Park later in the summer. Cumann na bunscoil:

Well done to Elphin club players Aidan Main, Sylvia Regan and DiarmaidMcCaffrey who played for Killina school in the group stages of the Cumannna bunscoil football tournament last Wednesday.  The school won twoand drew one game to qualify as group winners to the quarter finals. Thanks also to the club coaches who completed a six week block of coaching inKillina school last week and finish their stint in Elphin Primary this week. Byall accounts the sessions proved to be very popular with the children.  Itis the intention of the coaching committee to continue this inthe future.
