Elphin GAA CLUB NOTES 24th AUG 2015

The Seniors Championship game versus St. Croans has been brought forward to this Friday and will now be played in the Orchard at 7:15pm. Your support in this crucial game would be appreciated.
 

The Juniors got back to winning ways with a 1-18 to 0-7 victory over Clann na nGael C in the Championship on Wednesday last. Captain Brendan Neary led by example and there were some excellent displays from many of the younger players including Darren Lee, Luke Mollohan, Nessan Lenehan, Cormac Beirne and the returning John King. They face St. Dominics B in the League on Sunday at 1pm in Knockcroghery. 

 
The Minors host St. Aidans in the Championship on Wednesday at 7pm. 

 
The U-16s enjoyed a 3-15 to 1-8 win over Kilbride in the Championship Semi-Final, which was due to be played last Sunday, was postponed until yesterday evening (Monday). The will play St. Aidans in the County Final.
 
The U-12s host Castlerea St. Kevins in the League on Sunday at 11am. 
 
The U-10s and U-8s hosted Western Gaels in Blitzes in ideal conditions on Saturday morning. Many thanks to all who helped out on the day and to Western Gaels for travelling and we look forward to returning the favour soon. 
Unfortunately the Club will not be participating in the County Go Games Blitz Day on Saturday due to the large number of players who are also involved with the Elphin Agricultural Show. There will be no Coaching session this weekend, with the next session scheduled for September 5th at 10am. 
 
There was no winner of last week's Club Lotto Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 7, 18, 20 and 21 and the Lucky Dip winners of €25 were Anne Rock, Gerard Quinn, Mary Teresa Murray and Aidan Tully, Slatta. The Club Rossie Members Draw takes place in Hannon's Hotel, Roscommon on Friday at 9pm. There are €40,000 worth of prizes on offer and membership Forms are available from Sean Lenehan or you can join on-line now atwww.clubrossie.ie 
 
Well done to all our members who represented the parish with distinction at the Community Games All-Ireland Finals over the past two weekends.
