Elphin GAA Club notes 2nd Sept 2018

The juniors had a great win Saturday evening last beating St Faithleachs, final score 2.17 to 1.15.  They are now in the league semi final and championship semi final.  Well done to everyone involved!

 

Best of luck to the senior’s who take St Faithleachs at 3pm in the Orchard on Saturday next in Championship, please come out and support.

 

Elphin Ballinameen U12’s play St. Ciarans in the Orchard at 7pm on Monday evening and are away to St. Faithleachs on Thursday at 7pm.
The U12’s lost out to Kilmore/Shannon Gaels on a scoreline of 16 pts to 18 pts.

 

Elphin Ladies
The 2018 season finished up for both our u8/u10 and u14 girls this week.
The u8/u10 played their final game of the year v Shannon Gaels while our u14 lost their semi final game to St.Faithleachs by a solitary point. Well done to both panels of girls who have improved hugely over the past year. Many thanks to the coaches Triona, Niamh, Iggy & Michelle & the parents of these girls.
Our minor girls had a hard fought semi-final win over St.Croans on Thursday. These girls will meet the winners of St.Barrys or St.Ciarans in the County Final. No date fixed yet for this fixture.
The Kilmore Ladies had mixed fortunes in the Junior Championship losing to Four Roads before beating St.Croans on Sunday to top their group and qualify for a County quarter-final spot. Elphin have 3 girls on this panel.

 

The club is having a merchandise day on the 22st of September.  More details to follow.

 

There was no jackpot winner this week.  The numbers drawn were 22, 23, 27 & 29.
Lucky Dips winners were Sharon Gomes Braz Main St., Vincent Burke Clooncullane, Niall Brady Drogheda and James Lynam Ballyfarnon.  Next week's jackpot is €7900 and the draw will take place in Central Bar
