Elphin GAA News update May 9th

Despite a second half revival the Seniors were defeated by St Faithleachs in the opening round of the Championship on a scoreline of 2-14 to 0-12.

U-16 Training continues on Friday, with all players asked to be on the pitch for 7pm.

The Elphin-Ballinameen U-14s had a comprehensive win over Castlerea in the League on Thursday.

The U-12s were defeated by Strokestown on a scoreline of 3-6 to 5-12 in the Spring League on Saturday.

U-10 Coaching continues on Saturday at 10am.

Despite the weather conditions there was an excellent turnout by the Elphin-Ballinameen teams for the first U-8 Go Games Blitz in Strokestown. We had two teams on the day and they both played games against Castlerea, Éire Óg and Strokestown, with all the players putting in fantastic performances. Thank you to Strokestown for putting on refreshments afterwards and to all the parents who brought their children to the event. Coaching resumes on Saturday at 10am.

Congratulations to Lauren Shanagher and the Roscommon U-14 Ladies on their win in the Connacht B Final.
