November 8, 2018

Barna GAA Club would like to extend its deepest sympathies with the Curran family of Stamford, Connecticut on the recent death of Kevin Curran, one of the founding members of Barna GAA Club who acted as both team captain and manager in the early days.

Kevin Curran, 67, of Stamford, passed away Sunday November 17. He was born to the late Morgan and Margaret Curran, in 1946 in Cork but spent much of his childhood in Barna. He moved to the US in 1965 to pursue work and to join his brother and sister in New York.

Later in life he worked as a bartender and enjoyed golfing in his spare time.  He is survived by his loving wife Sheila Curran, of Stamford; his US-based sons Keir, Craig, Morgan and Bradleah; and his daughter Amanda Curran.
