The Club would like to inform readers that it has recently reconstructed the club website. The website can now be accessed at the new address of www.colmcille.longford.gaa.ie. The website will aim to keep supporters at home and abroad updated on club developments and activities and includes features such as Weekly News Letter (e-mail), Club Crest to Mobile, Club Development and Photos. There are also links to club fixtures and results. A significant feature of the website allows users to ‘Play Lotto Online’. The club has teamed up with the popular Local Lotto (www.locallotto.ie) in Galway who provides online lotto services to hundreds of clubs and organisations all over the world. This allows players to buy the Club lotto tickets in a secure manner using a number of payment methods such as credit, laser card or cheque. Online players who register to play will get weekly Lotto Newsletter e-mailed to them with their lotto numbers and the draw results. The entire purchase process only takes a few minutes to complete in easy to follow steps and we would encourage all people to visit the website. We would also ask that you inform relatives and friends living outside the parish of the website so they can stay in touch and encourage them to support the club by playing the lotto online in helping to generate much needed funds. The Club will be running various promotions during the summer to encourage all people to participate and to help raise funds while developing the website further.

Finally, if anyone has any current or old photos or articles that they want to be published on the website, please e-mail colmcillegfc@yahoo.com or phone Enda on 087-2735626.

Minor Notes
Our juvenile amalgamation Colmcille/Connollys got a walkover on Friday evening last from Ballymahon. Our U/14’s had a good win last week over Shannon Gaels. This win puts them in a three way play off for the final with St. Vincent‘s and St. James’. The draws for the minor, juvenile and U/14 championship were made last week in Longford. They are as follows: Our minor amalgamation play the winners of Carrick Sarsfields and Edgeworthstown. Juvenile amalgamation play St. Dominics. In the U14 B championship we play Carrick Sarsfields, and the winners play Shannon Gaels. In the U/14 A championship Colmcille/Clonbroney amalgamation play Northern Gaels. All team management of the U/12s, U/14s, Juveniles and Minors are requested to write out their starting teams names on the proper sheets, these sheets are available from P.J. Mulligan, Club Secretary. This is not being done presently so we would ask that from now on this will be done. The annual car bingo will be held on Friday June 27th at the Cross. Longford Minors are due to play Meath on July 6th in Navan and if there are enough people interested in travelling, the club will run a bus. Well done to Colmcille Seniors on their good win over Clonguish in the league on Sunday last.

Colmcille GAA Club wish to offer their sincere condolences to Kieran Tonra and family on the death of his sister – Mrs Maureen Donnelly, Holycross, Co Tipperary who passed away in recent weeks. Ar Dheis De go raibh a h-anam dilis.
